The State Minister for Cooperative Hon. Fredrick Gume led the Cooperator to cleaning of Owino Market also known as St Balikudembe Market, the Minister together with the Commissioner for Cooperatives Mr Joseph Kitandwe, The General Secretary Uganda Cooperative Alliance CPA Ivan Asiimwe got their hands dirty and cleaned a section of the Market as part of the activities to celebrate Cooperatives Day.
The cleaning was led by the Bumu Sacco, a savings and credit cooperative for the Owino Market traders, that is situated in the Kampala City. The minister inspected the Market and the Head Office of the Bumu. He was pleased With the performance of this Sacco and encouraged them to Work through cooperatives for the success of their businesses.
